This Privacy Policy explains how HookFixer (“HookFixer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares and protects information when you use hookfixer.com, Inspiration, Studio, Full Song Doctor, Free Hook Check, emails, forms and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide, including your email address, account and support communications, feedback, and User Content. User Content may include complete song lyrics, lyric fragments, hooks, song titles, genre information, creator context, protected facts, instructions about what should not be changed, exact lines that should be preserved, feedback and other creative material you choose to submit.
We may also receive technical and usage information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, form interactions, security signals, error codes and service logs. Abuse-control identifiers use keyed hashes where practical. We do not place lyric text, AI results, email addresses or private access tokens in analytics events.
2. Ownership and processing
We do not claim ownership of your User Content.
When you submit User Content, you authorize us to process, transmit and store that content as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, generate and deliver results, maintain account history, troubleshoot failures, prevent abuse, secure the Service and comply with applicable law.
3. AI-assisted processing
Inspiration, Full Song Doctor and Free Hook Check use automated systems and third-party AI service providers to generate drafts or creative editing suggestions. User Content may therefore be transmitted to service providers that process data on our behalf when you explicitly start one of these features.
4. Service providers and sharing
We may use providers for hosting and infrastructure, databases, queues, AI processing, transactional email, anti-bot protection and privacy-limited analytics. We share information only as reasonably necessary for those providers to perform services for us, for security and abuse prevention, to comply with law, or in connection with a legitimate business transfer. HookFixer does not knowingly sell personal information for money.
5. Technical audit evidence
Limited technical artifacts related to a failed or incomplete analysis may be temporarily retained for troubleshooting, security and reliability purposes. These technical audit artifacts are kept separate from ordinary application logs, are not publicly available and are subject to operational retention controls.
6. Retention and deletion
Different categories of data may have different retention periods. Technical failure artifacts use a configurable operational retention period, generally 30 days unless they are temporarily held for an active technical, security, abuse or legal investigation.
Users may delete eligible submission records through available product controls or contact us to request deletion. Some limited technical, security, legal or audit records may be retained for a reasonable period where necessary for security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, dispute resolution, legal compliance or system integrity. Backup copies may persist until they rotate through normal retention schedules.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We use strictly necessary cookies or similar storage for sessions, security and service functionality. We may use privacy-limited analytics where configured. Browser and device controls may allow you to restrict optional technologies, but blocking necessary cookies can prevent sign-in.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted transport, access controls, secret isolation, token hashing and restricted operational logs, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability or restriction of certain personal information, and to object to or withdraw consent for some processing. California residents may also have rights to know, correct or delete covered personal information and to receive equal service when exercising applicable rights. Residents of the EEA, United Kingdom and other jurisdictions may have additional rights and may contact their local data-protection authority. These rights are subject to legal exceptions and identity verification.
10. Children and international processing
The Service is not directed to children under 13. Information may be processed in countries with different data-protection laws, subject to safeguards required by applicable law.
11. Creative material warning
HookFixer is not a confidential storage, publishing, rights-management or legal-deposit service. Do not submit material you are not comfortable processing through an online AI-assisted service.
12. Policy updates
We may update this policy as the Service changes. We will publish the revised effective date and provide additional notice where required.
